Painting is always a healing process for me.

With each piece these days, once the white space is covered up, I love to get right to my character. That way, the character seems to define the rest of the painting.

And, I find, everything more easily falls into place.

The character doesn't always come right away. But we have a bunny family living right outside our back door and it's been so inspiring to watch the little ones play. So I've been painting a few bunnies.

With every painting I see myself somewhere in the character. 

In that way, each piece is a reflection of myself while also a connection to the outer world. I love portraying that inner and outer balance. 

Adding paper elements like this dream catcher pattern to both the bunny's belly and the sky symbolizes that dichotomy while maintaining the painting's simplicity. 

Making this character the perfect TRUTH SEEKER, finding connection with and within every one.
