owl painting workshop + an artful journey!

How To Paint An Owl Workshop, at the Glitter Workshop, February 5, 2011.

i can hardly say just how proud i am of this photo.

this is my latest graduating class from my How To Paint An Owl Workshop! And i just love seeing these smiling faces and all of their incredible owls!

it all starts with these painted backgrounds on wood that i prepare beforehand.
(i was really very nervous.)

then i brought all of my studio supplies in to share - vintage wallpaper books, origami paper, sheet music, pens, ink, pastels and lots and lots of glitter!

i'm always quite amazed i can get any words out. high school speech class used to be the most terrifying thing,

but once everyone starts laughing and creating...

 and i see everyone painting...

i just want to paint too!

this is the beginning of my little owl.

i just love seeing everyone's owls! each one is always so unique and always such a reflection of the artist!

we always have such an amazing time! and i am so happy to have met so many fabulous people! and for them to have shared their day with me!

................................................................

the lovely kim of kim's crafty apple posted about our class on her blog right here! she' took photos every step of the way, so you can really see just how her gorgeous owl evolved and came to life!

AND my next HOW TO PAINT AN OWL WORKSHOP is scheduled

THEN it's time for my HOW TO PAINT AN OWL E-COURSE! a 5 week art workshop March 28-April 30! i am so excited!!! i've been pouring my heart into making this e-course the best and i hope you'll be able to join me! Registration opens February 28th!
