I Heart Vacation!

I adore traveling. So, when Brian suggested we take a motorcycle trip up to Door County Wisconsin, I was all in!
We packed a picnic lunch in the saddlebags and took the ferry to Washington Island and rode around until we found the perfect spot for lunch.
The 70 acre farm we stayed at had so many beautiful walking gardens and trails. I fell in love with this birdhouse,
and all of these gorgeous flowers, and trees. We had the luxury of breakfast delivered to our room each morning in this cute basket,
and ate the bananas with real cream and muffins on our balcony. It connected to our room through giant french doors! So romantic. And Brian tolerated me snapping photos of everything with his iPhone.
We relaxed and read on the beach at Whitefish Dunes State Park. I couldn't believe we were still in Wisconsin!
And I'm pretty sure I had dessert everyday. This was my absolute favorite... a slice of Door County cherry pie with a cinnamon top and side of vanilla bean ice cream. Yum!

All SO relaxing and lovely. And now I'm feeling super refreshed and creating all sorts of new paintings I'll be sharing with you soon!

Enjoy the day!

  2. Brian drove the motorcycle. I ride dirt bikes and grew up with my Dad racing motorcycles, but haven't gotten my OWN license yet.

Hope you get to take a vacation soon, Dori!

  7. Looks like a very peaceful place... and the pie looks yummy! Brian looks like he's enjoying you having a good time. That's how my husband looks at me when he knows I'm happy and enjoying myself. It's been so long since I've ridden anywhere special... Time to put my riding boots on I guess.
