i heart paper dolls + a downloadable for you!

SPRING AND THE BOOK DRESS. Prints available in my etsy shop

Happy Valentine's Day!

I was looking back at my blog post from last valentine's day and at that time I had just taught my second in-person owl painting workshop and was heading to California for my first art retreat, An Artful Journey.

I just can't believe it's been a year! And now I am so completely into Paper Doll Girls with my HOW TO PAINT A GIRL e-course this week...that I just had to share a version of our paper dolls with you too!

One of the first paper doll girls I created was SPRING AND THE BOOK DRESS. She's made up of lots and lots of book pages from an old copy of James and The Giant Peach by Roald Dahl. I created her to honor the writer in me. After spending two years writing the novel I'm editing and reworking now, I got burned out. And, very thankfully, turned back to painting

Here's a little downloadable paper doll page for you to print out and color!

Thank you so much, always, for your incredible support and encouragement! If you feel like sending an email to show what you've done with your Paper Doll Girl, I'd love to see it!

And Happy, Happy Valentine's Day!
