i had the most wonderful opening for my Absolutely Art show! and one of the moments that made it so sweet was meeting this outstanding group of young ladies (young artists, i believe), all dressed in their snow suits, and asking me a ton of questions about my paintings and saying which ones were their favorites.
i was so inspired by their fashion-polka dots, bold colors and fabulous red sneakers! on their way out, one girl near-pressed her nose to my white owl, SHE STANDS OUT, and didn't step away until her mom called her to go!

then, i had the pleasure to get an email from her, sent later that night, asking if i could make it to her 10th birthday party to teach her and friends how to paint owls!
i can't even tell you what that means to me! i mean, talk about the little, incredible, beautiful, small moments that really make me smile, knowing i am exactly where i need to be and remembering what's really most important!

i've been thinking a lot about adapting my HOW TO PAINT AN OWL workshop for children, and that's exactly what i was thinking about when i saw those girls checking out my paintings at the opening.
i said to myself, how can i make that happen? where would i go with it? well, i'm pretty sure things will fall right into place with it all!

ReplyDelete~isn't it funny how magically wonderful life can present us with unexpected gifts...i think opening your heart up to children and teaching them how to paint would be a such a gift to give...one they will never forget...opening the door early on to creativity and allowing their minds to wander down such road...i wish for you to make it come to be...what an honor for you to have this little ask you to come and be apart of her special day...i am sure your heart is overflowing with excitement!!! best wishes and much love light and blessings be with you always~
