TITLE: My Musical Heart. The Original 5x5 inch painting + Prints available in my etsy shop.
Do you ever wish you could save your dreams and play them back once you're awake? I've been having all of these fabulous dreams lately and I just can't seem to record all of their beauty in my paintings the way I'd like.
Well, this painting MY MUSICAL HEART was inspired by the love and freedom I feel whenever I express myself. It's like your own personal music streaming from your pocket. I don't always know just how best to express it, but somehow people still hear my song.
TITLE: My Musical Heart. The Original 5x5 inch painting + Prints available in my etsy shop.
The original MY MUSICAL HEART was created on a 5 x 5 inch solid wood block using vintage sheet music and lots of stencils I have designed and cut by hand in my studio. I've added acrylics, watercolors, pastels and ink along with my very favorite art supply of the moment Ranger Distress Ink in vintage photo (to give it that burnished around the edges look).
This is a bit of a different color palette for me with the softer pink hue and marks the beginning of new direction artistically. Since I've come back from vacation, I've been working like crazy in my studio. And it's a good thing too with all of the new art shows I've got coming up!
I'm hosting open art studios at my studio next weekend, October 2-3 (11-4PM). If you're interested in attending the event, I'd love for you all to be there! Drop me an email at juliette (at) juliettecrane (dot) com for your personalized invite!
And while the paint dries on all of these new pieces I've been painting, and before I share more vacation photos with you, I thought I'd let you in on some more super fun creative business news!
Prints of Fresh From the Ocean + Sing Your Song available in my etsy shop.
My first ever professionally printed business cards! With these adorable characters on the backs...
and all of my contact info on the front!
I usually print my own cards in small batches, so getting two huge boxes of business cards from the printers was absolutely fantastic!
Sing Your Song prints available in my etsy shop.
I also ordered a new batch of postcards, which will be going out with every order along with the stickers I usually include in packages!
These postcards will also show up at my ART EXHIBIT that opens next week at the Overture Center for the Arts in Madison! I cannot wait!
Get all of the details right here! I so hope to see some of you there!
