TITLE: The World Inside Us. Prints available in my etsy shop.
There's this little baby bunny who made his home in my backyard and is teaching me to slow down and treat myself with grace. He has this spot right beside the patio. So when I work on my laptop outside most days, he's there and I smile every time I see him! He reminds me to be aware of what really brings me joy and the importance to celebrate happiness!
This weekend was all about celebrating for me! We went boating and had lots of picnics and took tons of time to read. All of this to honor that last week, I not only scheduled another local exhibit for December and January, but I was also lucky enough to sign on for Madison's OPEN ART STUDIOS in October!
TITLE: The Jewel. The Original Mixed Media Painting and Prints available in my etsy shop.
This means I am so excited to be taking part in a group show at the Overture Center for the Arts (details here). But I am really happy to be opening my studio to the public on October 2-3! I can't wait to meet everyone and will have extra flowers around the house to celebrate! Brian and I LOVE having people over for dinner, and I feel like this will be an event where we'll get to meet lots and lots of wonderful people and share amazing things!
So, if you live in Wisconsin, or even if you'll just be in town for the weekend, I'd be delighted if you stopped by October 2-3! I'll be spilling all of the details and sharing lots of photos in my monthly newsletter! Sign-up in the sidebar if you'd like to be included in next week's mailing!

ReplyDeleteCongrats! I love your paintings... I've read that you use pastels in a lot of them. Do you use oil or dry and if you don't mind me asking, how do you fix them so that they don't smear during your other processes? Thanks so much.
ReplyDeletethank you so much for all of the kindness, everyone!
ReplyDeletei use dry pastels, dianne. and apply a spray fixative (matte by prismacolor) before i add my vintage decoupage top coat. i'm starting to experiment with oil pastels too... we'll see where that goes.
