Moonlight

I just love all of this warm weather and being able to paint outside! I've been starting off with lots of blue skied canvases, yet oddly enough this one turned into a darker piece that reminds me perfectly of MOONLIGHT.

The original is up at my current art show and will be added to my etsy shop very soon. Archival prints of MOONLIGHT are now available in my Art shop!

MOONLIGHT 8 X 8 Inch Print of Mixed Media Painting
I just love the way everything seems to glow in this piece. Whether she's surrounded by fireflies or flowers filled with light, to me, there is something very magical happening here. For this painting I used an alchemy of materials from my studio-watercolors, pastels, acrylics, pencil, ink, charcoal, and origami paper. On top, I applied an antique decoupage to really add a look of beauty and depth.

  10. I am ever so happy that you stopped by so that I could come see all your lovely work! WOW. I really like your style. I saw Silke's button for the e-course and got very excited. The timing is perfect, having just quit an over demanding at home job that I've done for too many years. In my dotage, I have decided to live a purposeful, artful life! But I'm not an artist, I sew and craft. **blows kisses** Deb

  18. I enjoy your paintings because they all portray action and that entertains me. I especially enjoy your star watching girl because I enjoy staring up into the star studded sky as well...

I think I'll take the punge and start drawing and painting again. I used to do it a lot more. You inspired me ;-)
